Vasili, LOL Player from China, Fired by Newbee For Threatening His Girlfriend
Riot announced that Li Wei Jun, the Chinese League of Legends player, was suspended until 2020 after he was caught threatening to kill his girlfriend in a live stream. This player was immediately fired from his team, namely Newbee, after the announcement was made by Riot Games.
Although the results of the investigation have not shown any evidence that the player, known as Vasili, has physically assaulted his girlfriend, or is about to physically attack his girlfriend, the threats he made are considered sufficient for his girlfriend to call the police.
For this matter, Riot Games immediately intervened, and suspended the League of Legends player from the Newbee team.
Riot Games regulations so far can only impose a suspension for a maximum of ten months of the competition season. But especially for Vasili, Riot games made an exception. Because the offense committed by the player is considered very serious, because it threatens to kill.
