Developer Disintegration, V1 Interactive Closed

Founded in 2014, V1 Interactive is one of the developers who developed the Disintegration game. Unfortunately, V1 Interactive did not last long and was forced to close.

The closing of the Disintegration developer was announced through his official Twitter account. Here is a full report on this.

We are sad to inform you that V1 Interactive is officially closing.
We want to thank all the talented people at V1, both past and present, who helped make the last 5 years wonderful.

Via account Twitter, V1 Interactive thanked the staff for their hard work over the past five years. They also certainly don’t forget to thank all the fans who have played Disintegration even though this game was a failure.

Meanwhile, CEO and Founder of V1 Interactive, Marcus Lehto said that the news of the studio closing did not come as a surprise to employees.

We have been transparent to them about the condition of the studio. So they have time to find a new job and with the support of our studio.

For your information, V1 Interactive had at least 30 employees at the end of last year. V1 Interactive was founded by Lehto, one of the creators of the Halo franchise. They released Disintegration in 2020 and made the game their only publication.

Disintegration Server Has Closed

Prior to this announcement, the Disintegration server was shut down by V1 Interactive in November 2020. This decision they took after Disintegration had difficulty getting players who made matchmaking become very long and boring.

Even so, in general, Disintegration is one of the most interesting FPS games. Some of the reviews about this game are quite positive although it cannot be hidden that many are disappointed with the game made by V1 Interactive.

For now, it is not clear how Marcus Lehto will act after closing V1 Interactive. Will he rejoin Bungie to develop franchise Hello. The decision to close V1 Interactive was indeed quite disappointing for Lehto. However, the studio’s unstable condition left him with no other choice.
