Firaxis Games as the developer of XCOM: Chimera Squad made a pretty big decision recently. Which is most likely they will release the game to other platforms. As we know, XCOM: Chimera Squad was released exclusively through the PC platform.

This news itself comes from one of the European rating agencies – Pan European Game Information (PEGI). According to the leak, XCOM: Chimera Squad is planning to hit consoles – PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch in the near future. For those of you who don’t know, XCOM itself has been out for a year on the PC platform this April.

This is certainly good news for XCOM fans who haven’t tasted Chimera Squad yet. However, along with this news, the release date that the rating agency revealed, is not true. The plan is that XCOM Chimera Squad itself is scheduled to launch on consoles on March 26 yesterday.

But now it’s been 4 days since this article was published. XCOM Chimera Squad is not yet available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch. Most likely that date is not the release date of XCOM for consoles. But the date of the review from the rating agency.

PC platform exclusive ends soon

XCOM: Chimera Squad will indeed be released for consoles, but there is no definite date regarding the launch yet. The PC exclusive from XCOM will end in April. Which is most likely Chimera Squad will immediately launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
