FlipSid3 and Gambit Gaming Qualify DreamHack Winter 2016


FlipSid3 and Gambit Gaming have qualified for the Dreamhack ZOWIE Open Winter 2016. There will be 6 more teams to be announced later to compete in the tournament which will take place from 24-27 November 2016 at the Elmia convention center, Jönköping, Sweden.

FlipSid3 passed the qualifying round after beating iNation with a score of 2-1 in the round of 16, then successfully overcoming obstacles from the CSGO 8th e-Sports World Championship champion, ENCE eSports with a score of 2-0 in the round of 8, and defeating Epsilon eSports by score 2-1 in the round of 4 to qualify for DreamHack Winter 2016.

Meanwhile Gambit Gaming managed to beat Pride Gaming with a score of 2-0 in the round of 16, after that against ALTERNATE aTTaX in the round of 8 they also won with a score of 2-0, and Team Kinguin with a score of 2-0 in the round of 4. Qualified DreamHack

Winter 2016 was Gambit Gaming’s first achievement after they replaced 2 of their players. Gambit Gaming’s old roster that was eliminated was Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov and Ivan “spaze” Obrezhan to be replaced by Abay “Hobbit” Khassenov and Danil “Zeus” Tselenko (ex Na ‘vi) on October 12 last. For your information Dreamhack ZOWIE Open Winter 2016 will compete for a prizepool of $100,000 or around 1.3 billion rupiah.
