Immortals CS:GO Tournament Champion iBUYPOWER Fall Invitational
Immortals won the CS:GO iBUYPOWER Fall Invitational tournament after defeating OpTic Gaming in the grand final with a score of 2-1. The journey of the Immortals team to the grand final round did not encounter many obstacles.
This Brazilian roster beat compLexity Gaming 2-0 in the quarterfinals and NRG eSports 2-1 in the semifinals, while OpTic Gaming had to beat strong teams such as Team SoloMid 2-1 in the quarterfinals and SK Gaming 2-1 in the semifinals.
The first round of the grand final took place on the de_train map, midway through the first round Optic won with a score of 7-8. However, IMT who was on the CT side managed to turn things around with a winning score of 16-13. Furthermore, Optic chose the de_Cache map, the second round match was tight to play the overtime round and finally Optic was able to close it with a 19-16 victory.
The third map which was the decisive one took place at de_dust2, in the middle of the Optic round, they managed to take a narrow lead with a score of 8-7. IMT found its momentum after winning in the gun round duel, convincingly they finally closed the game with a 16-12 win. Immortals player Joao ‘felps’ Vasconcellos received an HLTV rating of 1.42, the highest in the iBUYPOWER Fall Invitational tournament.
