Investigate Match-Fixing Issues, Meta4Pro Team Withdraws from Dota 2 Pro Circuit

Another Dota 2 team that was hit by problems at the beginning of 2021. If previously the Burjui team was disqualified for falsifying COVID-19 test results, now it’s Meta4Pro’s turn. The Russian Dota 2 professional team decided to withdraw from the DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Lower Division tournament due to internal problems.

The Meta4Pro team investigated any irregularities in their team’s match in participating in the DreamLeague Season 14 tournament. Until this fifth week, the Meta4Pro team had not won a game. This was seen as odd by the management and investigated the match-fixing carried out by the players.

This discrepancy is realized by Meta4Pro players themselves. In the match between the Hippomaniacs and the bourgeoisie the players refused to play. This is because some players suspect that there are players who try to lose in the match. Therefore the Meta4Pro team tried to investigate the problem.

Both Meta4Pro and Valve have not provided detailed information regarding the players’ scandal. If the Meta4Pro team’s suspicions against the players are correct, there may be further penalties because this problem is match-fixing in the Dota Pro Circuit tournament.
