LGD and LGD.FY Teams Meet Each Other in the Upper Bracket Finals of the 2017 MDL Dota 2 Tournament

The 2017 Mars Dota 2 League Tournament has reached the final in the upper bracket. Unexpectedly there will be a match between the same 2 teams, namely LGD and LGD.FY after they managed to beat the OG and Newbee teams in Round 2.

LGD can beat team OG with a landslide score of 2-0 in Round 2 of the tournament Mars Dota 2 League 2017. They used the Hero’s “heavy push” strategy in the first match. Using Hero Gyrocopter and Shadow Shaman, they slowly destroyed Tower OG one by one and managed to get Aegis which allowed them to dominate the match until they reached a net worth difference of up to 20K gold and with a total kill of 30-8 at the end of the match.

In the second match, the OG team did a trick by swapping roles by N0tail and Anathan ‘ana’ Pham. Notail then played in the mid-lane using the Hero Death Prophet while Ana did a safe farm in the top lane using Faceless Void. This is quite successful and puts them ahead during the laning phase. Team OG managed to get the first Aegis, but unfortunately they had to lose several times in the war and when LGD was able to get the second Aegis, they managed to win this match.

For LGD.FY, they managed to beat the Newbee team without any major problems. It seems that the Newbee team are not in their best form and have to accept defeat in just 30 minutes for the 2nd time in a row.

With the LGD team definitely going into the Grand Finals, it seems likely that the Chinese team will dominate the tournament this time and the biggest question is is it possible that the Grand Finals will bring the LGD team back together?
