The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world has forced people to stay at home. The office work is no exception. Therefore, LINE Corporation was inspired to present their newest feature named LINE Meeting. This feature is a free video call feature found in the LINE application, both mobile and PC versions. This feature allows users to conduct virtual meetings, whether for business or personal purposes. With LINE Meeting, users can access group video calls of up to 500 people without having to create a group first.

How to Use LINE Meeting

Users can create URL links from LINE chat rooms. Then users have to invite their friends via that URL. While a virtual meeting is running, users can also add other users by sending invitations.

LINE Meeting also comes with a Watch Together feature that allows users to share mobile screens and YouTube videos in group calls. Not only that, there are also background effects. The mobile version features 106 effects and 41 filters, while the PC version comes with 12 filters without having to download a separate app. Users can also use a wide selection of background effect images or use their own images to change the appearance of the screen and add a more personal touch (available for both mobile and PC versions).

To ensure safety and security, LINE provides complex meeting URL links with more than 32 characters. In addition, users cannot join the meeting without using the provided URL link. Users can also remove other users with unwanted “Kick Out” features from the meeting so as to keep the meeting more secure.
