M2 Group Stage Results, Unstoppable RRQ Hashi & Alter Ego Falls

The biggest annual tournament Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang namely M2 has just finished the group stage of phase 1. The four groups have completed their matches and resulted in 4 teams that directly qualified for the upper bracket playoffs. The four teams are Omega Esports, Burmese Ghouls, Bren Esports, and Rex Regum Qeon. While the remaining 6 teams had to fight from the lower bracket round.

Two representatives of Indonesia in the M2 World Champions this time had different fates. In group D, RRQ Hoshi appeared unstoppable by defeating two of his opponents, namely DreamMax E-sports from Brazil and EVOS SG from Singapore. Meanwhile in group C, Alter Ego was only able to occupy the second position in the standings. Alter Ego managed to beat 10S Gaming Frost from Japan, but had to lose to Bren Esports from the Philippines.

Even so, the Alter Ego struggle is still not over. They will still be fighting against the third place in Group A, Unique Devu from Russia, in the lower bracket round. The match will be held today (20/01/2021). Meanwhile, RRQ Hoshi will compete against Omega Esports in the upper bracket round.

Team strength map Mobile Legends in the world is increasingly visible. The team from the Philippines showed its strength. This was marked by the passage of the two representatives from the Philippines to the M2 playoffs. We’ll see in the future what the fate of the Alter Ego will be. The winner of the MPL Invitational 2021 tournament must compete from the lower bracket M2 round first.
