According to a Business Insider report, electronic goods such as the PS5 distributed from factories in Asia use container ships to bring the console to mainland Europe. At least, the Suez Canal accounts for 10% of all global trade. Furthermore, the distribution of the PS5 is likely to be problematic if the Suez Canal is still experiencing congestion.

Previously, Joseph Bide (President of the United States) announced that they were conducting an investigation into the lack of supply of semiconductor materials. Business Insider reports that one factor contributing to this is the global market’s dependence on small Asian companies that produce all of the world’s semiconductor materials.

Of course, it’s quite interesting to see if it’s true that the PS5 console is experiencing shortages due to the Suez Canal. Until now, the ship Ever Given is still in the canal and has not been able to be released.
