Riot Games Will Soon Hold Mid Season Invitational 2021 in Iceland


Mid-year tournament for League of Legends or better known as the Mid Season Invitational (MSI) will be held this year. Riot Games as game publisher LoL revealed that MSI 2021 will be held in Iceland in May. The tournament will compete for a total prize of around USD 1 million or around Rp. 14 billion.

MSI itself is a tournament League of Legends which will bring together the regional league champion teams. A total of 12 participating teams will fight to be the best as a team League of Legends in the middle of the season. In addition, MSI is also a prestigious event to determine which region is number one.

Since it was held in 2021, MSI always brings surprises. The last time this happened was in 2021 when representatives from Europe, namely G2 Esports, defeated representatives from North America, namely Team Liquid, in the final. Whereas previously the team that was championed to win MSI was representatives from China and South Korea.

With the Mid Season Invitational 2021, this is good news for lovers League of Legends around the world. In 2021 this tournament had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Riot Games has appointed Iceland as the host, indicating that the tournament will be held offline.
