Sony Finally Unveils New Design PS5 DualSense Controller – Finally, after waiting for a long time, we can see the figure of the Playstation 5. Or at least here is their new joystick which was just announced on the official Playstation blog by Senior Vice President Platform Planning & Management – Hideaki Nishino. In a blog just uploaded a few hours. Sony is proud to introduce a new generation of their joysticks with new designs, features and a new name, DualSense.

Replacing the DualShock name that Sony has used for a long time, what’s really new about this DualSense joystick? From the design, of course, there are clearly many striking differences compared to its predecessor. This PS5 controller now looks more ‘bulky’ or contains than the DualShock 4 which still feels traditional.

This new design itself makes it feel fresh and modern, especially now that Sony has embedded dual-tone colors that make PS5 controllers This is different from previous designs. This design itself is claimed by Sony to be chosen from hundreds of concepts that they have tried several years back.

Sony itself said that their designers also made changes to the shape in some parts. To make this DualSense joystick more comfortable for gamers to use. Starting from the feedback button which now uses haptic feedback technology which is claimed to provide a variety of new sensations.

The L2 and R2 trigger buttons also now adapt adaptive trigger technology. Which will make you feel more of the action performed, such as when you pull an arrow when you use a bow.

The Share button is also now replaced with the Create button which will be explained in more detail as it approaches its release. DualSense has now also added a built-in microphone to its joystick. So you can directly chat without being confused about preparing the headset first.

Another small touch is the light indicator that moves from the top of the joystick to the side of the touch pad. Unfortunately from what is shown now, DualSense has not used touch screen technology as from the leaked patent that had been revealed.

At the end of his blog, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan give thanks. At the same time giving an announcement that the launch of the Playstation 5 will still be carried out during the 2021 holiday season (around October-December 2021). As well as leaks that they will introduce the design of their new console next month.
