Star Wars: KOTOR Remake Development Rumors Are Getting Stronger
A big surprise has come for you fans of the Star Wars Universe. After officially providing information about the new Star Wars game that adopts the Open World concept, this time Lucas Film Games is surprisingly working on another new project that is no less special. It’s been a long time waiting for it to no longer appear to the public, now we get news that Star Wars: Knight of The Old Republic or who usually gets the nickname KOTOR is getting a remake version.
In 2020, the presence of KOTOR Star Wars was indeed a promising rumor. Because through the rumors we got a year ago, KOTOR is currently under development by another dev besides Bioware. Even so we still don’t know what they are working on is a Sequel or Remake. Getting stronger, in 2020, Lucas Film Games got up and announced the existence of the Star Wars game they were working on. One of them is the Remaster of Star Wars: Republic Commando.

Information about the existence of the Remake version of Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic is again available in a Bloomberg video interview by Jason Schreier. Through the video, they discussed several well-known games such as BioShock and Media Gaming Discussion. But what makes it interesting is that at the end of the video, they discuss the presence of the Star Wars Remake: KOTOR. According to Scheier via the MinnMaxShow podcast, this remake is currently under development by Aspyr Studio.
If you don’t know Aspyr Studio has often taken care of several Star Wars Classic games. The ones that have recently received news are the new portings of Star Wars: Jedi Academy and Star Wars: Racer. This rumor seems to be getting stronger with the news of the acquisition of this Studio by Saber Interactive, the studio that we were familiar with for the game World War Z, Port Switch from The Witcher 3, and Halo: Combat Evolved. Furthermore, Schreier also explained that what they are currently working on is a remake version.
Until now there is still no direct confirmation from the publisher or developer of this game. But as we know, that this rumor could be true considering the information is getting stronger every few months. Not only that, we will also have an E3 event that they are said to be holding in June. But because it’s not 100% true yet, we still have to wait for more information.
