At the DC FanDome event which is currently still going on, director James Gunn who became the host just gave a surprise. On August 22, he officially showed cinematic footage of the superhero movie The Suicide Squad for the first time.

Production on The Suicide Squad began in 2021 at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. At the beginning of 2021, film production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But James Gunn did his job of editing The Suicide Squad from home during the quarantine.
