How to Rotate Photos on iPhone and iPad

Sometimes when taking photos on the iPhone camera, we have made mistakes related to photo orientation.

For example, we have photographed a landscape using landscape orientation, but somehow after saving it in the gallery, the photo is saved in portrait orientation.

Therefore, inevitably we have to rotate the photo so that the orientation becomes landscape.

Not only that, sometimes we get photos from the internet that are quite good but the orientation is not what we want.

Actually, if you’re using an iPhone or iPad, there’s an easy way to rotate photos. You don’t even need to download third-party apps.

How to Rotate Photos on iPhone and iPad

Open the app Photo on your iPhone or iPad. By the way, this is the default gallery app on iOS.

Select the photo you want to rotate. Then tap the button Edit. The button is located at the top right of the photo.

The photo or image will then be opened in edit mode. Notice at the bottom of the photo, you will find three buttons. Tap the rightmost button, pay attention to screenshots under:

To rotate the image, you can tap the button Play.

If you tap once, the image will rotate once. If you want to rotate it, tap the button again until you get the image position you want.

If you want to change the perspective of the image, i.e. flip it over like a mirror, you can tap the button next to it. The result will be like in the image below:

As you can see, the image is reversed. This is great if your photo was taken in mirror mode, and you want to flip it over again.

To save the rotated photo or image, you can tap Finished which is at the bottom right of the application.

The photo will then be saved as a copy along with the unedited photo.

So if you make a mistake during editing, you can delete it and re-edit from scratch.
