Diablo IV Shares Details Behind Creating Artwork and Customizing Characters

Since the release of the Diablo III series which has invited quite a different response from the two camps of fans, Blizzard is finally ready to bring a new era with the presence of Diablo IV. This new sequel to the legendary ARPG franchise brings many new overhauls ranging from the best graphics quality to more refined gameplay. Looks like we still have to wait a long time until the game is officially released, but Blizzard has slowly shared updated information about the development process.

Through the latest post they uploaded on their official website, the development team provided an explanation of the process behind making artwork and customizing the game’s characters. The presentation session which was represented by Luis Barriga as Game Director along with two other team members who handled the artwork section was really very abundant. They show new assets that are used as the foundation of character design and customization to suit fans’ tastes, but at the same time bring a new evolution.

They also provide a deeper explanation of how modern technology such as PBR (physically based rendering) works, especially when used in game cutscenes which make storytelling feel stronger. The post he uploaded shows many static games and animated fragments of various types of new enemies that players can meet in Diablo IV such as Blood Bishop, Skeleton Lord, Succubus, and other terrible monsters.
