Director The Witcher 3 Leaves CD Projekt RED After Alleged Bullying

New cases that have worsened the big name of CD Projekt RED have continued to arrive over the last few months. Starting from the release of Cyberpunk 2077 which ended with disappointing quality, now the developer also has to give up the departure of one of their best talents, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his name, Tomaszkiewicz is the main director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt who also holds the position of second director and head of production for Cyberpunk 2077.

Tomaszkiewicz’s departure from CD Projekt RED stems from a lengthy investigation into the bullying case that tied him up. Even though the results of the investigation found to prove his innocence, Tomaszkiewicz still decided to leave his post. From the email he wrote to the staff at CD Projekt RED, Tomaszkiewicz expressed his apologies and felt that even though he was proven innocent, there were still many staff who felt burdened and uncomfortable working with him.

Besides Tomaszkiewicz, CD Projekt RED also had to release another best talent, Andrzej Zawadzki. He previously held the position of Lead Gameplay Designer for Cyberpunk 2077. Even though the Polish developer is filled with many talented staff, Tomaszkiewicz and Zawadzki’s role must be acknowledged as crucial in ensuring the quality of the game that meets fan standards.

With this news, it is certain that the next AAA games from CD Projekt RED including the new series The Witcher will be handled by several new talents. Whatever they are preparing for, hopefully in the future CD Projekt RED can get back up and present high-quality games like The Witcher 3.
