Enter Mindscape with Professor X in Marvel Contest of Champions

Play Professor X in Rise of X, the latest update to Marvel Contest of Champions. Professor X’s character is famous as the leader of the X-men who have telekinetic powers but must use a wheelchair. In addition, Professor X has always believed in the possibility of mutants living peacefully with ordinary humans. Rise of X takes this character down a slightly different path.

Story

Professor X believed in peaceful coexistence of mutants and humans, but this all changed when Moira MacTaggert revealed to him the inevitable demise of mutantkind, unless Professor X could change his ways. Under the new moniker “X”, he gave up his old dreams. No more would mutants endure the afflictions and prejudice of humankind. Under the formidable rule of X, the mutant nation of Krakoa was founded. And those who defy the nation must enter the Mindscape and face Professor X in a duel of mental strength.

Professor X has always believed that mutants and humans can coexist peacefully. But all of this changes when Moira MacTaggert reveals that the death of the mutant race will happen if she can’t change her mind. With the new name “X”, he gave up on pursuing his dream. The mutants no longer have to endure the sufferings and prejudices of mankind. Under X’s rule, the mutant nation Krakoa was founded. All who oppose this country must enter Mindscape and fight Professor X in a duel of mental powers.

Gameplay

When fighting against Professor X, both players will immediately enter Mindscape, Professor X’s territory. Unlike him who is usually trapped in his wheelchair, Professor X can perform various kinds of movements like ordinary humans.

The Professor’s mutation makes all his attacks use energy damage. With Falter Professor X can dodge all normal attacks from his opponent for 2 seconds. Professor X can do Channeling which will give him various kinds of bonuses. Finally, Professor X can do Mind Control against his opponent with a duration of up to 5 seconds.
