Scythe: Digital Edition Now Available on iOS and Android

Following its regional release for iOS a few months ago, Scythe: Digital Edition is now available worldwide for iOS and Android.

Asmodee Digital released this adaptation based on the dieselpunk board game by Jamey Stegmaier. The setting and graphic design of this game comes from an alternative world created by Jakub Rozalski which he calls 1920+. World 1920+ is based on the Polish-Soviet War in 1920, one of the most important wars in world history according to many historians.

Scythe is a hex-based game in which the player controls the leader of one of four factions trying to hold power over Europe in a 1920+ world. To do this, players will conquer territories, acquire new recruits, gather natural resources, and use their mechs.

This game focuses the player on creating an economic engine. This encourages players to make their constructions more efficient to compete with other players. Building buildings and activating mechs will strengthen the player’s position to prevent opponents from attacking their country.

To complete a Scythe game, a player must place 6 stars on the board. Players can put stars by completing certain goals, such as removing all their mechs. After the game is over, points will be calculated based on the territory held, the number of stars, and the popularity of the player in the round.
