So Long Delayed, Finally Yu Yu Hakusho's Mobile Game Is Ready to Release Soon!

Usually the development of anime adaptation games, especially for mobile platforms, never takes too long. This does not apply to Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Battle Spirits, which has been in development since last 2018 and still shows no signs of being released. The silence finally ended after Mobcast gave a new update on the game’s official website as well as unlock the latest pre-registration stage.

The reason for the long delay of the game is because Mobcast lost help from eitarosoft which went bankrupt. That’s why Mobcast finally decided to bring the project on its own starting in November last year. So this long delay of release is not because the game was developed with high quality, but because of internal problems that almost caused the project to end up being cancelled.

Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Battle Spirits itself is an ARPG mobile game that allows you to fight with cool characters from the Yu Yu Hakusho series. We haven’t gotten an update on the gameplay yet, so hopefully there’s a new overhaul that makes it look even more interesting than when it was first announced.

As usual the game will be released for free with an optional microtransaction option. The pre-registration stage opened by Mobcast on the game’s official website also prepares various kinds of rewards for players to get. If it reaches 50,000 registered players, the reward distributed will be 150 Rurimaru which is likely to be further increased as more players register.

When is the Game Released?

So like the information above, Yu Yu Hakusho Genkai Battle Spirits is still under development for Android and iOS. Since the game has already opened the pre-registration stage, it is certain that the release will arrive in the near future.
