Yuji Naka Leaves Square Enix After Wonderworld Balan Fail

Upon hearing that Square Enix had inaugurated a new team held by Yuji Naka who is one of the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog, Balan Wonderworld, which is the team’s first game, was certainly greeted with high expectations. But sometimes expectations are not always beautiful, and in the end Balan Wonderworld actually gets a negative reception from a lot of critics and gamers who are not satisfied with the quality of the game.

Apart from the harsh criticism it received, from a marketing point of view, the game also suffered heavy losses with sales of around 2000 copies in its first week for Japan. Meanwhile, for the global region, the picture of the loss can be seen from the number of active players at the same time which does not even reach 100 people. The big failure he got had consequences also for Yuji Naka, who was only known to have left Square Enix after only joining for three years.

Whatever they are preparing, hopefully in the future the game can get a better reception and restore their good name, because the Balan Company actually has a lot of experienced talent.
