Alliance, Augmented Reality Autobots Game Coming Soon CBT in Japan
The gaming industry, of course, always makes innovations along with technological advances and also the ease of access for gamers or players. Entering 2021, a South Korean developer named Snowpipe is collaborating with IP Owner Tomy Company from Japan to launch the newest AR (augmented reality) game, Transformers Alliance. This game is planned to be released for the first time on the Android platform and will start a Close Beta test (CBT) on April 14, 2021 for the Japanese region.
Transformers: Alliance is just about to open its first server in Japan. But, who doesn’t know Transformers, the Hasbro franchise that has survived and accompanied toy enthusiasts from the 90s generation until now. This Autobots-Decepticons themed game has also been released with several genres, mini games, turn-based etc. Transformers fans must also be curious to see what kind of game made by Snowpipe that will use this AR technology.

AR, Augmented Reality is a technology that combines a two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual world with an area of a real three-dimensional environment, then projects these virtual objects in real time (at the same time).
AR technology has begun to be used and is popular in the Pokemon Go game where players can catch various Pokemon in the real world through AR technology. Not much different, Snowpipe wants to present the same concept for Transformers fans. The difference is, if Pokemon Go players hunt monsters, the Transformers Alliance allows players to turn vehicles into autobots or decepticons. Just imagine if you could see a car that is often used daily turning into a living robot in the style of Transformers.
“TRANSFORMERS ALLIANCE AR was released as a free-to-play game, aka free to play. Players can try it in the CBT phase which will start on April 14, limited to the Japanese region, but it is possible that this game will be released globally.
Here’s the official description of the Transformers Alliance on the GooglePlaystore:
“Convoy, Bumble, Starscream, Megatron and many other Transformers are waiting. You can collect parts in the game and meet the desired Transformers in person. Divided into two camps, Cybertron and Destron, the great Transformers battle soon ensues. “TRANSFORMERS ALLIANCE” allows players to move and occupy bases based on LBS (location information service) and expand the territory of the camp they are in. In addition, through AR (Augmented Reality) content, you can summon transformers from various objects such as cars, mobile phones and PCs (transformers appear by changing directly from objects recognized by the camera) and acquire/maintain characters.”
Close Beta Test Schedule: April 14 to 21, 2021
Genre: RPG (AR + LBS)
Min req compatible: Android 8.0 or above, memory (RAM) 4GB or above
Free to play
