Once the only classic Final Fantasy game that Square Enix forgot about and didn’t get a re-release apart from the old port in the PSONe Classic collection, now Final Fantasy VII has got a remastered version that features a variety of new tweaks. Following its official release on consoles and PC, now Final Fantasy VIII Remastered has finally been officially released for mobile platforms (Android and iOS).

Not much different from other remastered versions, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered offers a variety of new overhauls including significant graphic improvements in its 3D character model. The gameplay mechanism is still maintained, but you can see some parts that have been polished such as the UI display to sharper video cutscenes. This remastered version also offers new QoL (Quality of Life) features such as Battle Assist, No Encounter, and 3x Speed.

It’s just that Square Enix also provides advice for players when using the 3x Speed ​​feature, which can sometimes make exploration difficult. This does not include the problem where the character can get stuck when climbing or descending a vehicle. For the time being the fix for this problem is simply to restart from the previous Save Data.

As for the game concept itself, Final Fantasy VIII is a JRPG from the PlayStation era that carries a classic turn-based gameplay. This game tells the story of a mercenary / mercenary from the SeeD group who is trying to stop the evil leader of Edea from controlling the land of Galbadia. With a dramatic storyline that is added to the spice of romance in it, this series has been included in the ranks of the most favorite Final Fantasy series by fans to date.
