Battlefield Gets Its First Mobile Game, Ready to Release 2022!

Placing its position as the most popular FPS game franchise with Call of Duty, it must be admitted that Battlefield currently requires a major breakthrough in order to regain the attention of fans. After a vacuum since the release of Battlefield V, which did not get a good reception when it was released in 2018, surely many are curious about how to prepare for the newest game later.

This curiosity has finally been answered after EA and DICE officially announced one of their newest games specifically for mobile. This game is not a port but a series that is completely new and made in collaboration with Industrial Toys. There are no additional details regarding the gameplay concept that will be carried, but it has been confirmed that this game will be released in 2022.

We say “one of the newest games” because EA and DICE are also preparing a new Battlefield series for consoles and PCs. They also don’t provide much information, but only an estimated release schedule for the holiday season later this year. They fortunately have promised further announcements regarding the game in the near future.

Oskar Gabrielson as the main manager of DICE said that this is a Battlefield game with the largest development team so far. How come? because apart from DICE, the game was also developed in collaboration with 3 other teams, namely Criterio, DICE LA, and EA Gothenburg. Each team has its own role, both in polishing the quality of the game to developing new technology.

Although this announcement does not provide details about the two Battlefield games physically, fans at least have got certainty about a new game this year. The presence of Battlefield for the first time on the mobile platform is also very interesting. Especially regarding what kind of potential it will bring including whether the game will use the Frost Engine base as well or not?
