Besides Expensive Gaming Laptops, ASUS also introduces Thin Gaming Laptops
ROG is a gaming line belonging to ASUS which has apparently turned 10 years old. At this ripe age, ASUS introduced two new products, the GX700 which is exorbitantly priced, and a thin gaming laptop, which is only 2.3cm thick, but has the power of the GTX 970M.
At Hard Rock Cafe, Jakarta (31/3), ASUS also presented the GL502, which is the first notebook from its ROG STRIX series. The Intel Skylake Core i7-6700HQ, GTX 970M and 4K screen are embedded by ASUS into the 2.2 kg laptop.
“The product line of gaming requires double the seriousness and time in its creation, because ASUS is so focused on presenting it to users. This is what makes ASUS gaming products appear perfectly, not only in terms of performance, but also design, “said Juliana Chen, Country Product Group Leader ASUS Indonesia.
“So is the presence of the ASUS ROG STRIX GL502, which is a high-performance gaming laptop, but wrapped in a thin and light design,” continued Juliana.
In the kitchen, the GL502 is equipped with Intel Skylake Core i7-6700HQ, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 512MB SSD, and SATA 1TB with a speed of 7200 rpm. In terms of graphics, this notebook is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics card, with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. It also offers another variant, namely the GTX 980M. In the display section, the 15.6-inch laptop screen is capable of supporting 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution, with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and is also supported by G-SYNC.
“The GL502 is the first gaming laptop to carry the STRIX code. This will start a series of other STRIX products in the future,” said Juliana.
For those of you who are interested in owning it, be prepared to spend IDR 25.299 million with a bonus ROG mouse, or IDR 32.299 million with a bonus ROG Mouse and gaming headset.
