Capcom warns of Resident Evil Village Beta Fraud Emails
Capcom’s preparations for Resident Evil 8: Village so far appear to be ripe, as they are already planning to release the game on May 7th. The great enthusiasm of the fans was unfortunately used by an unscrupulous person to do phishing. The method? is to send an email containing an invitation to participate in the Beta stage.
Quoted from the media Destructoid, they have contacted Capcom for comment about this fraudulent practice. Capcom then responded that the invitation emails received by some gamers could indeed look official. However, if any discrepancies are found, they suggest that the email be deleted immediately and not to be replied to or even to contain the files included in it.
Officially, Capcom only had time to open the Beta Test stage of the game last January, and that was only devoted to a separate multiplayer mode titled Resident Evil Re:Verse. Moreover, approaching the release of the game which is only two months away, it seems that Capcom will not open the testing phase again and focus on polishing its quality.
Regarding the game itself, Resident Evil Village is the latest sequel to Resident Evil VII which tells the continuation of the story of Ethan Winters. Due to a new incident involving him with Chris Redfield, he must return to a new nightmare in a mysterious and dangerous village. Still presenting gameplay with a First-Person perspective, this game presents a new overhaul starting from a wider world/playground setting, smoother graphics on next-gen platforms, and much more.
When is the Game Released?
So like the information above, Resident Evil Village is scheduled to be released on May 7 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can check more details about the game on the official website HERE.
