Check out the COO Morph Team's confirmation regarding the Valorant Division roster

The news of the Morph Team releasing the Valorant team roster immediately sparked various speculations. Not only suddenly, but also considering that Morph is participating in the Qualifier of the Valorant Indonesia Challengers tournament. There are many things that make you curious, from what is the background for releasing the team roster, rumors that the roster has got a new organization, to whether Morph has found a replacement roster line-up? All of these interesting questions were answered in a series of exclusive Ligagame interviews represented by caster Luke “Cool” Yanto together Ahmad “Matthew” Priyadi, as COO and founder of Morph Team.

The chat opens with Morph forming the Valorant division. At first, Matt admitted that he had thought about going into the PC esports scene because he saw PC games, he was tired and heavy, including bringing it up to social media. Then try to find out info on Valorant and the Xorgee team and get info from Bigetron. So at that time Morph had not yet opened a PC game division and Bigetron offered their former CSGO team to try the Valorant scene. Matt then meets up with the Xorgee team. After contact and talking, Morph agreed to recruit the Xorgee team roster. As we know, the Xorgee team also played in the Valorant Community Cup in 2020. Besides Xorgee at that time there was also the Elecbossa team – which was later acquired to become the Valorant NXL Ligagame team.

Here Matt briefly reviews the advantages of the Xorgee team. According to him, Xorgee’s performance as a solid team has never changed (5 players are always with the same team: XO, CUD, FatPenguin, Famouz, Fidelwow). As for the addition of Nay as the 6th player because during Valorant First Strike, Cut cannot play because of the age limit rule.

What attracted Morph to the PC game esports scene? Matt firmly replied that Reza Arap as the founder of Morph Team was basically or departed from PC games and intended to raise the PC game esports team. Because we all know that Arap’s current achievements were actually pioneered from the bottom, starting from the OP of the internet cafe, wanting to be serious about being a Dota2 pro player to having a dream that finally came true, which is to have his own internet cafe (gaming center). But at that time we didn’t know how to build the PC game esports division,” said Matt.

So did Morph Valorant disband because they didn’t want to continue the contract? Yes, also because there was an offer from another team.
Is it hard to let them go? “Not really, because they (Xorgee) ex-Morph roster can step up to take another step higher and we (Morph) are still in that scene (Valorant) by building a new team.

Furthermore, Luke tries to explore whether Morph has prepared a new roster of Valorant? Do you open recruitment or take the full stacks of a team? Matt who already knew the answer diplomatically dodged. “Yes, there is, but for that, you can ask the Valorant team manager, ask Danan,” he said.

Well, the next conversation is more interesting about what is Morph’s target or ambition? Matt answered straightforwardly and casually, “We don’t demand champions, the important thing is that the kids play loose, keep hitting. You don’t have to always win, trust the team and play as well as possible!

Furthermore, the Morph team managed to finish in 2nd place, meaning they would qualify for the Qualifier 2 Valorant Indonesia Challengers. So, later the team (which competed in qualifier 1 yesterday) will become Bigetron or Morph temporarily?

This is a little bit about the technical rules of the tournament, which as we all know Riot as the organizer is always professional and strict.
Matt stated that they (the newly departed Morph roster) could still be considered as Morph roster. This is so as not to let the Morph team be considered forefeit. This has also been communicated and has become an agreement with Bigetron.

Actually, apart from the technical issues, Matt assesses that Morph’s togetherness with the Valorant team (Xorgee lineup) is also not optimal or not satisfied because both parties seem to want to achieve maximum achievements in the Valorant scene.
However, Matt’s argument later may be true. The decision to release the roster to Bigetron is not only a matter of transactions or player transfers, but so far in the Valorant scene, it is only Alter Ego, Boom and Morph that compete so that it seems to dominate. Therefore, with the process of moving the Valorant team to BTR, the Valorant Indonesia scene can be even more competitive.

Luke returns to discuss the new Morph roster. His efforts this time paid off because Matt gave 2 important clues. First, yes, Morph will take a team’s full stacks, and that team is now also participating in the Valorant Challengers. Second, the team name ends with the letter “C”.
So when will Morph announce the new Valorant roster? “Soon,” said Matt. Well, let’s just wait, guys, the new roster of the Valorant Morph Team. What is certain is that there is still time until the Qualifier 2 round which will start on Friday, February 26.
