As we all know, the SK Gaming roster that changed organizations from the previous Luminosity Gaming was disqualified for its presence in ELeague CS:GO Season 1, even though they were the champions of ESL One Cologne. This may be because they are not allowed to participate in tournaments with different organizations in the same month.
Other strong teams that are also favorites are Ninjas in Pajamas, which won StarSeries Season 2 in early September, and also Cloud9, who sits at the top of the ESL Pro League Season 4 standings for the North American region. The group stage of ESLeague CS:GO Season 2 will take place from October 21 to November 19, the teams are divided into 4 groups and the system used is double elimination competition.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the playoffs which will take place from November 29 to December 3 in Atlanta, United States. A new regulation from Valve that prohibits coaches from accompanying their players while competing has begun to be applied in this tournament, teams such as Mousesports and Virtus.pro that rely on the role of coaches must adapt to the new rules.
