Digital Chaos Gets Direct Invitation to ESL One Genting 2017
Digital Chaos (DC) is the second team after Fnatic to receive a direct invitation to the ESL One Genting 2017 tournament. DC’s impressive performance at the TI6 tournament is the main reason the American team will appear in the $250,000 tournament on January 6-8.
As we know Digital Chaos only came out as runner up in the TI6 tournament after being defeated by Wings Gaming in the grand final with a score of 3-1. However, this relatively young team managed to take home a prize money of $3.4 million or around 4.4 billion rupiah.
Apart from Digital Chaos and fnatic, there are two more teams that will receive direct invitations, the organizers will still announce later. Meanwhile, four more teams will be determined in the regional qualifiers for the Americas, China, Europe and Southeast Asia.
Digital Chaos’ participation in ESL One Genting 2017 which took place at Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands, Malaysia, became a longing cure for fans from Southeast Asia. Despite being present at the Manila Major, last February Digital Chaos did not participate in the ESL One Manila tournament.
