Dota 2 Optic Gaming Team Successfully Wins Starladder ImbaTV Invitational Season 5

Optic Gaming, which is better known as its Call of Duty team, now has a capable Dota 2 team, after PPD, Zai and friends, won the Valve Dota 2 Pro Circuit Minor, Starladder ImbaTV Invitationa, where in yesterday’s final, defeated a team from China, namely VGJ.Thunder

In this Dota 2 championship, which is included in the Valve Minor category, the Optic Gaming team managed to break through the dominance of several other strong teams that have already been champions, such as NaVi and VGJ.Thunder.

In the early stages of the Group Stage, Optic Gaming even immediately shot to become the winner of group A, with the runner up VGJ.Thunder. While in the other group, Group B, Vega Squadron won the group with runner-up Fnatic, and set aside NaVi.

The semifinal match on the last day featured Vega Squadron vs VGJ.Thunder and Optic Gaming vs Fnatic.

In a match which was also broadcast live by the Ligagame Esports Channel, VGJ.Thunder and Optic Gaming managed to make it to the Grandfinal round, after each defeating their opponent in the semifinals.

The Grand Final match using the BO5 system, opened with VGJ.Thunder’s victory over Optic Gaming, in a match that took up to 1 hour.

But Optic Gaming finally managed to win the title, after defeating the VGJ.Thunder team in the next 3 matches. The final score was 3:1 for Optic Gaming’s victory, so the team was entitled to a prize money of 135,000 USD.

This is the first title from Optic Gaming in the Dota 2 pro circuit series from Valve.
