Elden Ring Finally Exhibited Again, Ready to Release January 2022!
The high recognition that From Software has received as the originator of the Souls-like genre has placed them in the ranks of the most consistent game developers today. After successfully getting the Game of the Year (GOTY) award through Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, now they have prepared another new game project that is even more ambitious through Elden Ring. There’s still very little news about the game after a hiatus for the past few years, but the silence is finally broken today after Elden Ring is back on display.
So through the Summer Game Fest 2021 event which was held a while ago, publisher Bandai Namco and developer From Software finally shared a myriad of new details from the game. This includes the release of gameplay trailers to a collection of screenshots that provide a clear picture of the theme it carries. Regarding the concept of the game itself, Elden Ring is an action RPG game that is still deeply rooted in souls-like elements like other mainstay From Software games. It’s just that this time they took a different approach by creating a more massive fantasy world with an open-world setting, greater freedom of play, and an overhaul of the gameplay side with an abundant variety of weapons. For those who still don’t know, the world setting in Elden Ring is also the work of renowned novelist George RR Martin.
Creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and CEO Yasuo Miyakawa also added their comments to this announcement. They thanked the fans for their never-ending enthusiasm and hoped to bring quality games that could meet their expectations.
As for the release schedule, Elden Ring is scheduled to be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC on January 21 next year. Later players who have upgraded to a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console will also be given a free upgrade option to enhance the quality of the game.
