Fake COVID-19 Certificate, Burjui Disqualified from DPC 2021 Lower Division EU
It seems that the lower division of the European Regional Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021 has not finished providing controversy. After previously Meta4Pro resigned, now it’s the Burjui team’s turn to be disqualified. This disqualification was given by DreamLeague because Burjui tried to produce a fake COVID-19 certificate in order to get additional player substitution quota.
If someone usually falsifies a negative COVID-19 certificate. The Burjui team actually did the opposite, they faked a positive COVID-19 certificate. The Burjui team playing in the lower division of the SPC 2021 in the European region took this action because they had used the stand-in allowance allowed during the 2021 DPC.
DreamLeague as the organizer stated that the Burjui team asked to make a sudden/emergency player transfer and asked for a waiver to play the stand-in player for urgent medical reasons, because previously the Burjui team had used the quota of stand-in players allowed in the 2021 DPC. In certain situations DreamLeague can indeed give such permission if the team concerned can provide relevant evidence and documents.
Due to a breach of tournament rules, we are disqualifying team ‘bourgeoisie’ from the #DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Lower Division.

The Burjui team, citing COVID-19, finally submitted a certificate that one of the players tested positive and was unable to play. However, after re-checking, DreamLeague found several things that were contradictory and odd with the information provided by this team, therefore DreamLeague immediately conducted an investigation and found that the certificate was fake.
If examined further, it seems that the certificate was made for their midlaner player, Flacs. Because after playing in the first match of the Burjui team against Brame, the Flacs were immediately replaced by a popular Dota 2 streamer, namely Mihail “cancel^^” Antonio for the next 3 matches.

It didn’t stop there, in the fifth match, aka their last match, they used stand-in players, again the Burjus team did not use their midlaner, cancelL^^ who replaced Flacs, instead they were replaced with Selim “Neqroman” Oynar, a midlaner from Turkey who in that match automatically became a substitute for Flacs.
I don’t know what happened to the Flacs, but this condition forced the Burjui team to make a scenario, that their players could not appear and ask the DreamLeague for leniency by falsifying the positive COVID-19 letter. This is so that the Burjus can use stand-in players in their sixth and seventh matches.
For this action, the Burjui team was finally disqualified from the lower division of the European Regional DPC 2021. DreamLeague said the forged COVID-19 letter was an attempt to get around Valve’s regulations which only allowed stand-in players to play in 4 matches.
It’s a shame indeed, within 2 days there were two teams in the lower division of the European Regional DPC 2021 that were affected by problems. Even though the European region is the most competitive region for Dota 2 esports issues, it is unfortunate that this is tarnished by the disgraceful actions made by the two teams even though they are in the lower division.
