Internet Problems Appear, Indonesian National Team Is Considered to Walk Out in Match Dota 2 IESF World Championship 2020

The IESF World Championship 2020 Southeast Asia qualifying round has started. The Indonesian National Team (teamnas) sent a Mix Elite squad as representatives in the Dota 2 World Championship.

In this qualifying round, there were a total of five teams from the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. Each country will play four times in a round robin best of one (bo1) series format, which means the teams must collect as many landslide victory points as possible.

Mix Elite Faces Internet Problems, Forced to be Considered a Walk Out

Indonesia, fronted by athletes Tri Kuncoro, Muhammad Luthfi, Muhammad Rizky, Rudy Lucky, and Ramzi Bayhaki, had to face the Philippines representatives in the first match on November 9, 2020, 14:30 WIB.

However, it seemed that they had to face an unexpected problem. Mix Elite athletes had to come face to face with internet problems when they just started their match against the Philippines.

They themselves have tried to go to the nearest internet cafe so they can immediately enter the lobby and play. But what can you do, the time has passed the delay limit and resulted in the Indonesian team having to be considered WO (walk out) from the match.

“Sorry for internet problems in the field, the children have difficulty entering the lobby so they are late and in the WO in the match against PH,” explained the IESPA admin in his Facebook comment column.

With the Bo1 system, they are no longer given the opportunity to show their abilities against the Philippines. As a result, they had to lose and lost one point from a total of four matches.

Hopefully, the loss of these points will not prevent the Indonesian national team from getting tickets to the grand final of the IESF Esports World Championship in December.
