It's cool, PUBG Mobile seems to be presenting a new mode similar to Among Us

Starting as a small game with no players, Among Us suddenly rose to become the most sensational game of 2020. A game where one of your friends plays the role of a killer and you have to negotiate to find the culprit is a very unique concept. Seeing the great success achieved by the game, it is not surprising that many developers are interested in taking inspiration from a similar game concept.

At least this is what Tencent has done for PUBG Mobile, where they are reportedly preparing a new game mode inspired by Among Us. This information was first shared by the media GamingOnPhone who reported that this mode was available in Game for Peace (Chinese version for PUBG Mobile). They even got some rough screenshots of the gameplay that you can see below.

Based on the available information, this mode has the exact same gameplay concept as Among Us. Players will still be required to complete various tasks while watching the “Impostor” movements. Perpetrators in this mode are armed with a Pan which they must use to take out the survivors. If any players find an oddity, they can start a sudden meeting with an Emergency Card item.

Please note that this leaked information is still just a rumor. Given that Game for Peace is also getting a much earlier update, maybe this mode will only be available in the global version for a long time.
