Long in Early Access, JRPG Game Edge of Eternity Ready to Release on PC Soon!

Midgar Studio’s dedication in developing their JRPG game project, entitled Edge of Eternity, deserves thumbs up. Since entering the Early Access period in 2018, this game has brought a lot of new content that now makes the game look more ambitious. They even succeeded in realizing this achievement only with the developer team, which initially consisted of seven people.

Now entering its fourth year since the game was in Early Access, finally the developer is ready to release the final version in the near future. Through its latest announcement, Midgar Studio confirmed that Edge of Eternity will be released on PC via Steam on June 8th. Its release will be accompanied by a major update that brings up to 20 hours of gameplay content and ends the game’s main story content.

Not only PC, it turns out that this game has also been prepared for release on more platforms starting from PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox One Series in the fourth quarter of this year. The console version will certainly bring all the content from the final version which will likely also be accompanied by several new features, for example, support for 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the game, Edge of Eternity is a game that takes many elements from classic JRPGs such as complex story focus to distinctive turn-based gameplay. The game itself focuses on the adventures of a young man named Daryon who is accompanied by his partner Selene to find a way to cure Corrosion that threatens the world.

Midgar Studio has put a great deal of dedication into adding as much content as possible to the game, and even hired the talent of Yasunori Mitsuda to work on the soundtrack. For those of you who don’t know who Yasunori Mitsuda is, he is a well-known composer whose work is known from the most popular JRPG games such as Chrono Trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles.

When is the Game Released?

So like the information above, the final version of Edge of Eternity is planned to be released on PC via Steam on the 8th of June. Meanwhile, the console version has been confirmed to follow in the fourth quarter of this year.
