Malaysia Has Academy for Pro Gamers Starting in 2017
If everything goes according to plan, Malaysia will soon witness its formation gamer Academy independent, for training and development talented gamers so that they able to compete at the level world class.
Academy this will be up and running in 2017. eSports Malaysia (ESM), something the governing body for competitive gaming (eSports) in the country, is in stage achieve one of its main goals, namely to establish an eSports Academy to educate and earn player the world will get compete internationally.
The eSport community in Malaysia is in high spirits right now because the team that is now owned by Malaysia, namely Fnatic, is in its heyday by becoming one of the top 5 Dota 2 teams in the World. Thanks to their success in the Dota 2 World Championship, The International 6, earlier this year. Fnatic’s success in collecting prize pool prize money US$1.4 million after occupy the champion fourth in the prestigious tournament, opened many eyes people for berpotential to pursue a career in field eSports.
ESM shows that Malaysia has 14 million gamers which play various game titles. ESM, which is under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has been actively involved in supporting the participation of Malaysian athletes in the tournament.
