More Similarities of Mobile Legends and Wild Rift Characters
Last week we showed 10 character pairs from Mobile Legends and Wild Rift that have some similarities. They can be the same in terms of gameplay, theme, color, etc. In this article we will take a look at 10 more character pairs from these two games. Of course, all these similarities are the opinion of the author and should not be taken as fact.
Hayabusa vs Zed
At first glance Hayabusa and Zed already look similar. Both of these characters have a ninja theme and cover their faces. Apart from appearance, their skills are also similar. Throwing shuriken, using phantom which can switch places with characters, even ultimates that make them invulnerable for a few seconds.
Nana vs Annie
Nana and Annie have the same small body size. In addition, their designs have animal elements, where Nana has animal ears but Annie only wears a cat ear headband. They also have a skill that can summon friends; Nana can summon Molina and Annie can summon Tibbers.
Masha vs Vi
These two characters are more similar in terms of design than gameplay. Masha and Vi use large gloves to clash with their opponents. Although not quite as designed, Masha and Vi have dash skills to do initiation for their ultimate.
Roger vs Graves
In terms of design, Roger and Graves look very similar. These two characters carry large weapons, wielding some sort of trench coat, and of course smoking a cigar. The funny thing is that Graves’ cigar was removed from splash artbefore returning it again. Outside of their character designs, Graves and Roger are not similar in gameplay at all.
Chou vs Lee Sin
Chou and Lee Sin are characters martial artist from Mobile Legend and Wild Rift. Even though their designs are not very similar – with Chou wearing a kind of uniform and Lee Sin only wearing pants – their theme as martial arts experts is clear. But the most similar thing between these two characters is their ultimate skill, where they kick their opponent with a roundhouse kick with great force, causing their target to be pushed away.
Yi Sun-Shin vs Varus
Varus is a Wild Rift champion who has a great focus on his arrow skills. This skill needs to be held down to increase the arrow’s shooting range. Meanwhile Yi Sun-Shin is a hero who has gimmick changed weapons, but his second skill was almost exactly the same as Varus’ first skill. Beyond those skills, the only thing these two characters have in common is the fact that they both use arrows and bows.
Fanny vs Camille
The main similarity between these two characters is in their mobility skills that use cables. Fanny and Camille can use their cables to move towards walls, giving them a quick way to get close to the target. The difference is that Camille’s skill only has two phases, the first cable hooks to the wall, then he can jump towards the target. Fanny can use her cord multiple times in the near future, and each wire will change the direction it moves.
Odette vs Janna
With their long hair and wands, and white clothes, it’s not hard to see the similarities between Odette and Janna. They also have a somewhat similar theme, where Odette has a swan theme, and Janna has a wind theme, a theme often associated with birds. But what is more similar in these two characters is their ultimate skill which makes a big circle around them. The difference is that Odette’s skill causes damage while Janna’s skill heals a friend.
Karina (Doom Duelist) vs Evelynn
Karina and Evelynn’s similarities are more visible if Karina uses her Doom Duelist skin. These two characters seem to have a similar theme and the same color. In terms of gameplay, Karina and Evelynn are jungle characters. In addition, their ultimate skills provide great mobility and damage.
Franco vs Blitzcrank
Last on this list are Franco and Blitzcrank. Of course they are not similar in design at all, with Franco’s design looking like a Viking, compared to the body of the Blitzcrank robot. The thing that equals Franco and Blitzcrank is skill hook those who pull the opponent out of a safe position. After doing hook, these two characters can use their other skills to make sure they don’t escape easily. Character designs like this in moba have also been used before, with Pudge from Dota being the prime example.
