Netflix's 'Pacific Rim' Anime Film Adaptation Shows Hype New Trailer!
Most people definitely know Pacific Rim as a holywood film with the theme of mecha wars against monsters. But who would have thought that the most successful film by director Guillermo del Toro would also be adapted into an anime. The announcement about the anime adaptation, entitled Pacific Rim: The Black, has appeared since 2018 by Netflix, where they are already in the preparation stage to air it in the near future.
To increase fans’ enthusiasm, finally Netflix released a new trailer which you can immediately see below:
The new trailer features quality visuals and CG animation that looks solid. The model of each character also shows a lively expression and is not stiff, something that is quite feared by many anime lovers has also been related to CG animation. Not to forget, Netflix also slipped information about the anime’s broadcast schedule which falls on March 4.
Even though we call it an “adaptation”, this anime comes with its own original storyline. The story focuses on two twin brothers trying to survive on mainland Australia after the Kaiju invasion.
What is Pacific Rim?
For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the name, Pacific Rim is the most successful original film by Guillermo del Toro. Despite not having a complex storyline, this film still gets high praise for its stunning visual quality. Every fight that involves a giant mecha against a monster (kaiju) is always presented with epic moments.
The film has already received a sequel titled Pacific Rim: Uprising, although unfortunately it did not get as high a reception as the first film. Not long after the debut of the first film, there was also a mobile game adaptation developed by Reliance Games and Behavior Interactive for mobile platforms.
