New Agents, Coast Changes and Bug Fixes

Patch VALORANT 3.01 was released July 7, 2021. This update brings significant changes to the weapon cost and economy in the game. KAY/O’s new killer Robot Agent is also here. This agent will be useful for pressing opponents and clearing the site.

Patch 3.01 doesn’t change the game, instead it fixes some annoying bugs to improve gameplay and overall VALORANT experience. Players can no longer place the Sage’s Barrier Orb on top of projectiles while they are in the air. Skye also could no longer activate the Guiding Light ability when pressed.

Fixed a previous bug that allowed KAY/O to be healed when dropped at NULL/CMD. Then a visual bug that causes Sova’s Recon Bolt to look like it’s deployed while flying through the air.

Apart from that, social features were also fixed such as a bug that allowed players to change the color of text chats to mimic system messages. Fixed an error that caused the UI buttons to overlap with the Defender Coach UI in a custom game and a bug that caused player names to appear as question marks if the “Use Common Names for Players Outside My Party” option was removed.

Furthermore, the account leveling that caused the player to receive a lower level than intended was also fixed and the alignment issue in the observer view was resolved. Players will no longer experience visual issues affecting account leveling at the end of the game screen.
