PAI Positive for Covid, YAM Falls Sick, Alter Ego Will Promote MDL Players?

Alter Ego (AE) is reportedly in the middle of a player crisis following PAI’s condition being confirmed positive for COVID-19. AE was forced to play at the GH (gaming house) on the 5th week of matches, to follow the protocol implemented by MPL ID. After PAI had to be absent, now another retainer, namely YAM, is also experiencing health problems. This can indeed be a minor disaster for AE as both players are offlaners. One remaining player is only Ilyas ‘Caesius’ Rahmanda who plays as Tank or Support.

Caesius is indeed quite senior but he has never played the role of Offlane in a competitive Mobile Legends event. Alter Ego managers have to rack their brains to find the best option. The team’s problems also reached the ears of the CEO of Alter Ego, Delwyn Sukanto. In his Livestream session on Nimo TV, Delwyn explained that there is a possibility that Alter Ego will promote an Offlaner from the MDL Alter Ego team.

“YAM is also sick, but not Covid. Then the PAI also has no symptoms, right, so he is still OTG. If it’s not possible for Caesius, because he’s playing Support or Tank. So it looks like next week one of the MDL players should be, just in case PAI hasn’t recovered, what will happen,” Delwyn said while doing a Live Streaming on Nimo TV.

So far Alter Ego has not given a signal about which players from the MDL Alter Ego team will be promoted. However, seeing the need for positions that need to be layered, it is most likely that the player who will be promoted is Arss because he has the same position as an EXP Lane. Arss also has experience playing in MPL Season 1 with Louvre Esports and won the title of Best Fighter MPL Season 1.
