PGL Announces 8 Team Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2021
PGL is pleased to announce that it is hosting the Dota Pro Circuit – SEA Region for the next two seasons. PGL is an EO esports founded in 2002 that handles event organizer, studio and video production, as well as TV and online streaming for hundreds of international esports tournaments and has reached millions of fans from all over the world.
PGL Says the first season of Dota 2 Pro Circuit SEA will kick off on January 18th and will run for six weeks until February 27th, 2021. DPC – SEA Region 2021 will compete for a total prizepool of $280,000.
The 8 best DOTA2 teams from the Southeast Asia region will compete in the Top Division of the DPC season, as follows:

Closed Qualifier consists of two stages:
Stage 1 – 8 teams will play DE BO 3 Bracket to get 4 winning teams. These four teams will qualify for the Upper Divisio and the bottom 4 teams will play in the next qualifying stage.
The second stage will consist of 12 teams: the bottom 4 teams from Closed Qualifier Stage 1 + 8 teams that will qualify after the Open Qualifier. Furthermore, the top 2 teams from each qualifier will compete in the Closed Qualifier Stage 2.
Stage 2 – Teams will play in 2 groups of Round Robin BO2 – 6 teams in each group. 5th and 6th places were eliminated. The remaining teams will qualify for the Lower Division.
Round Robin brackets will be created for each Upper and Lower Division. Matches will be played in BO3 format.
The bottom two teams from the Upper Division will be relegated to the Lower Division, while the top two teams from the Lower Division will be promoted. The bottom two teams from the Lower Division will be eliminated from the league and the Open Qualifier will decide which team will occupy this slot next season. The top three teams in the Southeast Asia region will get slots for the Major.
