Project Heartbreak Announced, New Indie Game Made by Coffee Talk Creators
The great success that Coffee Talk has achieved has succeeded in placing Indonesian games at a higher level of achievement in the international game industry. Apart from receiving positive reception from critics and players alike, the game has won various awards and was nominated for the DICE Awards. Following this success, Mohammad Fahmi as the creator behind the game is now involved in another new project called Project Heartbreak.
This is a new game developed in collaboration with the After Hours Devs development team and Fellow Traveler publisher. Due to limited information from the official page on Steam, luckily we got interesting details from the summary of media articles IGN SEA. They explained that this game puts its main focus or concept on the theme of music, where the music in the game is directly contributed by an indie rock band from Jakarta named L’Alphalpha. While the art style approach is handled by Soyatu and Pinga Penguin.
Fahmi also gave a little teaser that the game can make “heartbreak in the coolest way” which may have more meaning in the main premise of Project Heartbreak. The teaser trailer of this game unfortunately also doesn’t provide many details of the gameplay that is carried, but the official page on Steam lists it in the Point & Click, Visual Novel, and Story Rich categories which may be enough to give a rough idea.
For now, Project Heartbreak has only been developed specifically for the PC platform and is planned for release in 2022. You can monitor the updated progress of the game through the official page at steam, because the developer may add new notes and updates from time to time.
