Razer Announces Special Program to Create an Eco-Friendly Future
Razer as one of the largest gaming brands in the world has just announced a long-term commitment of 10 years to environmental programs. Under the banner of #GoGreenWithRazer, this program aims to help conserve nature and protect the environment, ensuring a cleaner and greener world for future generations.
New targets include 100% renewable energy use by 2025, all products produced using recyclable materials by 2030, and 100% carbon neutral fuels by 2030. As part of this movement, Razer also encourages its community (youth, millennials and Gen Z) to create a change through several eco-friendly movements. Such as recycling and being more sensitive to the ecological footprint.
Min-Liang Tan as CEO of Razer commented that “Through the #GoGreenWithRazer campaign led by our mascot Sneki Snek, the Razer community is very supportive and passionate. Therefore, Razer has planned a program aimed at conserving nature to fight against environmental and climate change. We are determined to make the world a better place for people to play and live in.”
Razer today also announced that their new office in Hamburg, Germany is already powered by renewable energy, and that Razer’s new Southeast Asia headquarters will soon be opening in Singapore following this move. By 2025, all global offices will be powered by 100% renewable energy.
In addition to this eco-friendly strategy, Razer wants to ensure that all of their products are recyclable by 2025. This includes the disposal and recycling of products by global customers and distributors.
Like the news that we shared some time ago, Razer has partnered with Conservational International to conserve forests around the world. Some of the locations include Costa Rica, Ecuador, Suriname, Brazil, Madagascar, Indonesia and others. With a target of 1 million trees, they have prepared Sneki Snek merchandise after reaching the new milestone of the number of trees that have been successfully planted.
