Released this year, Apex Legends Mobile is reportedly also being worked on by Tencent

The spread of rumors about Apex Legends Mobile last week brought another interesting piece of information. If previously we had received news from game analyst Daniel Ahmad regarding the release of the game on mobile in the near future, so now it’s the turn of the IGN media to bring new interesting news. So, through their latest report, developer Respawn Entertainment seems to be collaborating with Tencent for the development of Apex Legends Mobile.

Respawn’s role in the development process is as a “supervisor”, where Tencent follows directions to ensure the quality of the game is maintained. With this information, it seems certain that Apex Legends Mobile is not just an ordinary port, but a completely new game. Seeing how PUBG Mobile from Tencent has graphics that are far from the original version, Apex Legends Mobile will most likely also get a noticeable downgrade. However, this is certainly needed to facilitate access to play the game, especially for Low-End Smartphone users.

Although this news has not received official confirmation, EA has confirmed that they are collaborating with a “Chinese company” for the development of Apex Legends Mobile. This is of course in line with the latest report from IGN, especially since Tencent is a company that has the experience to have great influence to make its game marketing more successful.

If all the leaked information regarding the mobile version ends up being true, hopefully Apex Legends can develop into an even bigger franchise. It would be cool if this IP got expansion to other media like Krafton did with PUBG.

What is Apex Legends?

Apex Legends itself is an FPS-based FPS Battle Royale game that is very popular in the market. This game has the charm of fast-paced gameplay, cool weapon variations, and a cool operator character roster. This game was developed by Respawn Entertainment, which is the well-known developer behind the Titanfall franchise. The game itself is available for free and only has optional microtransactions that don’t interfere with the fun of playing.
