Scarlet Nexus Anime Aired Before the Game Release

It doesn’t feel like we’ve entered a week where one of the most anticipated action RPG games this year, Scarlet Nexus, will be released. Bandai Namco has done a very good job of marketing this game, to the point that they have prepared an anime adaptation for it as well which is being done by studio Sunrise. Talking about the Scarlet Nexus anime, the Funimation YouTube channel has started broadcasting its first episode which can be watched for free.

The first episode of the anime is presented in Japanese with English subtitles, where you will be introduced to the world setting, characters, and what conflicts they have to face as members of OSF. We’ve watched this first episode and admit that the quality isn’t that bad, even though in terms of animation it’s not optimal and there’s a lot of use of CG in the fighting scenes.

For those of you who are curious to follow the Scarlet Nexus anime, Sunrise studio will start broadcasting it in early July with the release of one episode every week. Meanwhile, for the first episode that is already on the Funimation YouTube channel, you can watch it but you have to use VPN access.

The game tells the story of Yuito and Kasane who are each caught in the thread of an unexpected destiny as members of the Other Suppression Force (OSF). Apart from the fact that they have to carry out the task of protecting New Himuka from the threat of a monster organism called Other, Yuito and Kasane are finally reunited as enemies who each have their own point of view, including different partners who support them. Maybe this is why the developer decided to break the focus of the story for the two characters.

Scarlet Nexus is scheduled to be released on June 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam with a demo version ready to be released starting next week. Pre-order access is still available at Bandai Namco official website in the Standard and Deluxe Edition versions which are pegged at Rp. 749,000 and Rp. 1,070,240.

Scarlet Nexus is an action RPG that allows you to use psychokinesis skills that can be combined with the strengths of other OSF members. Even though Yuito and Kasane have powers based on the same psychokinesis, they are still equipped with very different weapons and movesets to make each character feel unique.
