Valve Party Makes Changes To The Veto CS:GO Map System At PGL Major Krakow 2017
Even though it’s only a few days before the event The PGL Major Kraków 2017 has started, Valve has made changes that have quite an effect on the course of matches in a tournament through changes to the map veto system.
Exactly 5 days left before the event PGL Major Kraków 2017, this change was made by Valve. However this was not announced officially but through a change in the rulebook that was given to the team on 10 July 2017.
The following is a map veto change that will be made at the PGL Major event Kraków 2017 for group stages:
1. Team with High seed bans 2 maps in a row
2. Team with Low seed bans on 3 maps consecutive
3. The team with the high seed chooses 1 map from the remaining 2 maps
4. The team with the low seed chooses the side
The following is for the play-offs:
1. Team with High seed bans 1 map
2. Team with Low seed bans 1 map
3. The team with the high seed chooses the map
4. The team with the low seed chooses the map
5. Team with Low seed bans 1 map
6. The team with the high seed chooses the decisive map
Judging from the map veto process, it seems that the team that gets the high seed is very profitable, especially in the group stage. This is because the team can choose which map to play. For play-off team performance during the group stage will affect the high seed and low seed, so the team must be able to play well during the group stage.
Will this change affect the course of the game?
