A Total of 6 Games That Will Compete for Medals in the Esports Category, in the 2019 SEA Games Philippines

After it was announced that Mobile Legends is one of the games that will be competed at SEA GAMES 2019, the latest information we received is that there will be a total of 6 games that will be competed at SEA Games 2019. The five other games, the list will be announced on December 13th.

This information was conveyed by the SEA GAMES 2019 Organizing Committee to IeSPA, as the official parent organization of Esports in Indonesia. Of the total 6 games that will compete for the medal, will be represented by games from PC, Console and Mobile. This was mutually agreed upon so that the three communities would have representatives who would compete at the 2019 SEA Games, Philippines. At the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games Esports Exhibition a few months ago, there were also 6 games that were competed. But whether the game will be the same or different, will only be announced on December 13th.

Even though IeSPA has received a glimpse of information about what games will be competed at the 2019 SEA GAMES, it is better to wait for an official announcement from the 2019 SEA Games Philippines committee.
Currently IeSPA is preparing a plan for the selection of Indonesian Esports national athletes, as well as training programs so that Indonesia can later win a gold medal. For information, at the 2019 SEA GAMES later, Esports has been entered as an official branch category and gold contributed by athletes who won the Esports category will be counted as medals by the Indonesian state.

IeSPA or the Indonesian electronic sports association, is the official parent organization of the esports sport, which is under the auspices of the ministry of youth and sports, FORMI (Federation of Indonesian people’s sports), and is an official member of the KOI (Indonesian Olympic Committee).

In terms of international relations, IeSPA is also a member of the IeSF (International Esports Federation) and AeSF (Asian Esports Federation).
