Behemoth Is Not An Ordinary Monster In Monster Hunter World Later

Our fight with Behemoth is still in the next few weeks but, from an event held by Capcom recently, it shows that our fight with Behemoth will not be like a fight with ordinary monsters.

Unlike previous battles with monsters, this battle with Behemoth adapts several elements from the Final Fantasy 14 game. Behemoth will not only use his large claws, horns and body, he can also issue magic attacks such as thunder and aero to attack players. Not only that this battle also has Wipe Mechanic which will thwart the fight if the players fail to perform certain actions before the mechanic activates.

in which case the Behemoth will issue Aclyptic Meteor an attack where the Behemoth will summon a huge Meteor to destroy all its enemies. This attack cannot be blocked with Guard, nor can it be cancelled. Farcaster will also not work when Aclyptic meteor is used by Behemoth.

The only way to avoid the Aclyptic Meteor is to hide behind a small comet rock dropped by the Behemoth.

When players take cover behind this rock, they will be protected from the attack of the Aclyptic Meteor. But, of course this is not easy, because if this stone is hit by a Behemeoth attack, the stone will be destroyed, and lose your chance to take cover from the Aclyptic Meteor. This brings us to the second element that Capcom adapted from Final Fantasy 14 namely, Agro.

When a player attacks the Behemoth’s head continuously, he will draw the agro of the Behemoth, Agro will make the Behemoth direct its attention to the player who has Agro. Players who have Agro will be marked with a red line connecting the Behemoth and the player. From here, players can set the right position where the Behemoth can’t touch the small Comet he drops and give other players the opportunity to attack the Behemoth from behind.

Not only that, the music that is played is also varied in this battle, and when you defeat the Behemoth, the jingle of Victory Fanfare typical of Final Fantasy will be heard.

Very unique isn’t it? it seems that Square-Enix and Capcom really made this crossover event very meticulously and uniquely. By adapting elements from both games, our fight with Behemoth on August 2 will be a highly anticipated battle.
