Referring to existing information, players will get a new area in the v1.2 update. For your information, currently there are only two regions in this game, namely Mondstadt and Liyue. Remember quest Archon Liyue has ended, miHoYo will most likely add a new region called Dragonspine.
Dragonspine itself is a snowy area and is just below Dawn Winer and east of Sal Terrae. If according to the rumors circulating, Dragonspine is not the city of Inazuma as people say. The reason is, Inzuma himself is east of Dragonspine.
In addition, Snezhnaya is the last region that players will visit out of the seven regions. So, it is certain that Dragonspine is not the Snezhnaya that people say it is.
There’s New Artifacts Too
In addition to new areas, Genshin Impact will also have new Artifacts, considering that Dragonspine will be coming. The two artifacts are Glacier and Snowfield and Icebreaker.
Glacier and Snowfield Artifacts give Cryo DMG Bonus +15% and also increase Superconduct DMG by 50%. Increases DMG Melt by 15%. Using Elemental Burst increases Cryo’s damage by 25% for ten seconds.
Meanwhile, Icebreaker gives a Cryo RES bonus of 15%. Increases DMG against frozen or Cryo-affected enemies by 35%. The presence of this Artifact further strengthens the rumors that there will be a new Cryo character present, considering that Dragonspine is a new area in Genshin Impact.
Most likely players will meet Ganyu who was previously present on quest Archon Liyue. For your information, the news says Ganyu is a Cryo element character.
