H2K Gaming Threatens To Leave League Championship Series If There Is No Financial Increase

One pro League of Legends team threatened to leave the League Championship Series if Riot Games did not improve the financial management of the League Championship Series for the benefit of the team.

In an open letter, the H2K Gaming team from the UK stated that they felt that the financial agreement between Riot Games and the pro team was inappropriate and unprofitable for the team. They are threatening to drop out of the League Championship Series if nothing changes before 2018.

The H2K Gaming team stated that if Riot Games did not comply with the wishes of the pro teams, the biggest loss would fall on Riot Games’ side because without a competing pro team, the income from Riot Games will definitely decrease drastically due to the loss of important content for LoL gamers. That way they are sure that the League of Legends game will slowly die by itself.

They want a new financial management in order to provide an opportunity for the team to be able to earn a minimum profit of 850 thousand Euros per year. They openly said that their team actually suffered a loss of 1 Million Euros per year to be able to continue playing in the League Championship Series.

They felt it was unfair when the League of Legends game made a lot of money for Riot Games but only a little was distributed to the pro teams who competed for the sake of the game itself. Seeing the decision from H2K Gaming to attack Riot Games with an open letter, do you think this is true?
